We drive through Carson City past the State of Nevada Capital. We stop at the Carson City Mint, which is a museum now, with many interesting Nevada artifacts and a re-created mine shaft that you get to walk through to understand what life in the mines was like.
Virginia City is situated on the side of a mountain at over 6200 feet, the same as Lake Tahoe. This was the West’s first truly industrialized city in the 1850’s. Gold was struck in the Comstock and it fueled the building of San Francisco. This is the largest federally designated historical district in America. The prices are the same as those shown for passengers under the flat rates out of town (click here). If you have another destination, feel free to call the dispatcher for a price quote.
Once the taxi has arrived at the package pick-up address, the driver will start the meter. The customer will receive up to ten minutes waiting at no charge. After 10 minutes, the waiting time will be charged to the customer at the rate of $30.00 per hour, or any part of an hour. When picking up and/or delivering packages, the driver will perform any additional services as requested for an agreed upon fee. There is no charge for acknowledgment of receipt, but the receipt should be drawn by the party requesting same. |
